Since the 14th of February 2003, there is an agreement between the
European Community and their States members of free circulation
of their citizens. EU citizens, people coming from the States belonging
to the European Economic Space (Norway, Iceland, Liechenstein) and
the nationals of the Swiss Confederation are allowed to live in
Spain without necessity of a residency card whether they are employees,
self-employed or students.

to the other. Consult for more information.
Número

Foreigners who have either economic, professional or social interests
in Spain require the NIE (Numero de Identificación de Extranjero).
This number should appear on all documents that will be given out

Registration at the Town Hall ("empadronamiento")
All nationals and foreigners who are settling in a new municipality
must register at the Town Hall.

Consulate.
